Good metal amp sims?

Hey guys, do any of you have any recommendations for amp sims on the PC that are really good for metal? I am looking for something that sounds br00tz and also has a lot of different amps you can choose from. I would also like for it to have effects such as delay and reverb.

I would also appreciate if they had presets that sounds good right from the start along with the effects if possible.

I have given a look into the Plini plugin which was my first choice due to the choice of amps and effects, but in all honesty, after haggling with it for a few days I can't really get that metal sound I am aiming for. I have tried the nameless suite and I can't justify buying it as I really don't like it that much either. I am going to be trying the NTS suite tonight, but I want to hear from you guys about some other options that can check my requirements.

Budget is from $100-$200 and I would greatly appreciate it if they had a free trial/ demo aswell.

TSEX50 is probably the best bang for your buck, but doesn’t have all too much variety.

overloud TH-U. amazing amp sim all around. there are a number of packages that will fall in your price range, including a metal package if you dont want to pay for the full suite

I can't guarantee they'll be amazing good but there are lots of free VSTs for various effects

If you want versatile and sort of know your way around a triaxis there's reaxis by mercurial

Also yeah TH-U has a Randall T2 that's fucking dope

TH-U is a great all-rounder.

The Neural amp sims are ridiculous for Metal, too.

Mercuriall is stellar too.

With how many good free ones there are I'd go with those. Get everything by Ignite and LePou and you've got a solid start. The Ignite Emissary sounds better than some paid ones. For the effects you can find free stuff, as well as free IR packs.

If something like NTS isn't enough for you, you're probably looking to spend a good bit more for that versatility. And at that cost, I'd rather go for a hardware solution.

this is not a fair comparison, for the emissary it was a drag and drop into my daw, i know it could sound better..personally i tried to use it in the past but i couldn't get a good sound out of it, maybe i'm too noob but this is a comparison with part of a song:

To me, this just validates how killer the Emissary is. With no tweaking, it sounds almost as good as the $400 Helix Native.

I personally couldn’t get a decent metal tone out of the TH-U excluding the Randall T2.

The T2 was heavy as balls but definitely true to the style of amp.
That said, if you can get a coupon from someone has the referral deal Neural was offering, you could get the Nameless or NTS AND the Plini for about $200.

I thought the STL Will Putney amps/sims were the best sounding metal oriented ones I've ever used. Granted you're only getting 4 amps and 3 pedals, but the ability to load your own IRs really makes up for that.

Mercuriall ReAxis, really good amp modeling which is versatile from cleanest cleans to extreme metal, and it has got noisegate, overdrives, wah, chorus, reverbs and delays at effects department. Cab modeling is done by Redwirez so that's pretty nice too.

Yup. The Mecuriall is great is you want that Mesa Mark flavor.

TBH, my favorite amp sim is a $5 Engl Invader sim that some Russian dude sells. It's so fucking tight, growly, and sits amazingly in a mix.

He also does a Mark IV that has an EQ that's decently close to the real thing, just super simplified. That and a Fortin NATAS. Haven't had a chance to try those. After getting that Invasion sim, I stopped trying out VSTs because it was perfect for me

Actually, there are dozens very good.
I've tried and reviewed most of them, with 6 and 7 strings guitars, and in the end I think that the NTS suite is the most versatile.
100 bucks, yeah, but worth it every penny.

I think I tried that one and it was okay. His old amp sims were kinda hit or miss, but his new ones you pay for seem legit.
