I'd love a good 7 from Jackson.:hbang: I just hope they don't go strictly active(Emg) on the pickup options.:noway: Thats what turned me off to a lot of 7's out there (schecter, dean). I really prefer passives!:yesway:

I soooo want a USA SL2h or SLS even though I already have 2 Jackson 7's.

Both of them have drawbacks- COW only has 1 pickup :( and the Demon has bad upper fret access. So an Soloist shaped 7 would be great.

Sweet. Jackson is my 2nd favorite brand easily. And aslong Ibanez doesn't expand the 7-string line (well though I know an RGA-7 is in the mix) I'd love to get a new jackson.

Oh great, just what I need, another guitar.

It's almost guaranteed this/these will be Japanese-made, which is cool because that means I might actually be able to afford one.

If Jackson takes the easy way out, they could simply retool the existing Jackson Stars sevens. A 7-string SLSMG would be more interesting for me. I probably wouldn't buy a V or Kelly, though, just because the pointy shapes don't work well for us chest rockers...

I'm with you on it being Japanese - a USA 7 string production model would shock me. I highly suspect this will either be a variation on the Stars Soloist 7 or a SLSMG-7. I've pointed the Jackson guys here multiple times during discussions of Jackson, so hopefully it made an impression...

I posted this question up over on the JCF (asking if anyone had heard anything)
man some of the guys over there are just fucking idiots.
Most of the comments are ridiculous and downright ignorant.
I guess for some people it's hard to let go of 1985:fawk:

(an SLSMG -7 with a floyd would work for me :agreed: )

Man, I used to think Jacksons were the end all be all guitars until I started playing sevens. RR7, KE7, KV7 ... those all would make me pretty happy. But something even remotely similar to this in a production 7 ...

Jacksons002-4.jpg

(Maybe like the old trans green WRMG)

I might have to go back to Jacksons ...
