guitar workstation

This new Boss model 900 something has guitar effects,drums, bass simulation and a cd burner. I'm getting a Mac Powerbook in November but need something now. What do you guys think ?

You need a pretty good audio card with an ASIO driver

Thats really cool and all but,I am trying to get something non computer related for now.

Those Boss all-in-one studio things work great. I've heard some awesome stuff done with them. They're obviously not quite as versatile as a computer setup, but they get the job done really well.

I have had good luck with the boss units and they are very easy to use as well.I have had the boss br8 and the br1180cd as well both great units.
