Number one is probably Zack Ordway (Ex Sky Eats Airplane, Zelliack, Killtrox. Look him up on Youtube).

Some more known guys are Jeff Loomis, Andy Mckee (Ebon Coast omgerdz), Michael Keene. Brian's riffs in Black Dahlia never get old either. I love his composition style.

John Petrucci, Michael Romeo, Joe Satriani...

Probably lots more, too.

David Gilmour , John Petrucci, Joe Satriani, Andy Timmons, Buckethead, Devin Townsend, Mark Tremonti, Slash (hell, I could listen to the final solo in November Rain all day), Eric Johnson, Mark Holcomb (probably my favorite rhythm guitarist atm. Pale Aura, 'nuff said.)

EDIT: I grew up with The Edge (U2) and Matthias Jabs/Rudolf Schenker (The Scorpions), so I'd add those two for nostalgia's sake.
