Has anyone tried the Ibanez BB9??????

has anyone tried the Ibanez BB9 ..big bottom booster ???.. ive heard its like the tubescreamer but does not take away any bottom end ..

opinions?

i would be playing it through a dual rec and vader cab ..

The main reason that a lot of people boost with a tubescreamer (or any pedal with that circuit type) is in fact to tighten up the bottom end, not to maintain the bass or potentially even add more If anything I would use a BB9 for a lead boost to gain a little more "bloom" and fluidity on top of a tighter, more focused rhythm tone.



If that's the situation you find yourself in I'm sure it would be excellent but for more conventional boosting then the TS-9/808 etc etc seem more useful.

thank you for the reply .. i think i will look more into the 808 .. i was just wanting to see if anyone used the bb9 in low tunings
