HELP,bent rack ears

so,I got this old mesa boogie dual rectifier(the rackmount edition)and the rack ears are bent(not TOO serious,but I still want it to be straight)the thing is that I don't know what is it made of,cus some guy told me that some metarials can just break and It doesn't worth to try straightening it,someone had some rack ears problem in the past or someone knows what is it made of so I can check the possibility of straightening it safely with a metal worker/blacksmith or something...
