Help me choose pickups for my new guitar!

Hey, I will be getting a luthier copy (more or less) of Music Man Petrucci, and I am wondering what pickups should I choose? It has basswood body and maple neck. I have Ibanez with same woods and EMGs, I want something different this time. What I need is bridge pickup that will handle hi-gain low tuned heavy riffs and 'shreddy' neck pu with good clean tone, I want them to be selective at high gains, they don't have to be super sensitive for articulation, as I cant really play I thought about some DiMarzios, but I'm not very familiar with them, maybe D-Sonic + AirNorton? It's 6 string btw

I'd recommend the Petrucci PUs: Liquifire and Crunchlab!

+1 on DiMarzio and +1 on crunchlab and liquifire. The d-sonic and air norton is essentially the first setup JP used but the crunchlab and liquifire are dialed in a bit tighter which is better in my opinion.

I checked some tests and they seem very decent, and I guess as JP uses them, they will be awesome for that guitar Thanks for suggestions guys! I mostly play stuff like this ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=38r3MskdyfA ), but in band we tune to a#, anyone used CL + LF in similiar stuff?

Well Petrucci also uses 7's in which he uses the same pickups.
