Help with annoying sound

Hey guys,

I am currently getting this annoying screeching sound from my guitar when going DI and I am not sure what is causing this. Below I have posted a link to the song I'm currently recording and am having issues with. Mind you the song is not finished yet, so yea don't expect to much, but this damn screeching noise is annoying me and I don't know what is causing it. Everything is also raw, which Im sure you all can tell. But any advice would be helpful.

If you're talking about the thing at 0:53 it sounds like your pickups are too high or your DI tracks are clipping. Otherwise I don't really know what you're talking about. Could you point out a specific part where you hear "screeching"?

The ringing after every palm mute? Sounds like why people put foam behind the nut, in the trem springs, etc.
