Hey guys,
I got the bridge plates in from Hipshot yesterday, I initially ordered 5, thinking I was going to get their standard bridge plates with staggered string through holes. Little did I know, they completely recreated the 7421 bridge plate I sent them in .125 brass. These things are amazing. I was floored as I opened the box, they absolutely blew me away. Perfect attention to detail, they are absolutely perfect replicas, except thicker, and made of brass instead of thin stamped steel(or whatever Ibanez uses). They weigh roughly 2x as much as the stock bridge, more weight at the end of the strings=greater sustain. I'd imagine tuning stability might also be better, as the plate is thicker, meaning less of a chance of it flexing under string tension. The steel Hipshot saddles would also change the tone a little bit, make it a little clearer, a little brighter.

Anyone who was looking for a replacement piece would love this, they are definitely high end. I'm trying to gauge interest in a group buy. I've emailed Jason to see how many I'd need to get the price down a little lower(they cost me about $20 more than a standard Hipshot bridge plate), if I can get them to around the $80 mark, how many would be interested? We can do this like I've seen other group buys on other forums:
