How do you tune your 7?

I just was reading a thread and it looks like some of you crazies are actually tuning your low B string to an F!

So...

1. How do you tune your 7?

2. What gauge strings do you use?

I tune with the tuning pegs.

No, but for realzies, I tune to drop A on my baritone 7, which is AEADGbe, and I use a .046/.009 set for E/e and a .068 for the low A.

I tune my Ibanez 7 to standard B because anything lower sounds like total MUD (it's a standard scale with mediocre pickups, your average Ibanez so to speak) and I use pretty weird gauges, 9-12-16-26-36-52-68

Ernie ball 10-56 set but change the 56 to a 60.

It used to be drop B with a low F# but now I use B standard or drop A.

A standard and uhh...I don't know the string gauge :/ they're still the strings that came with my RG7321 Ibby...I guess I should find out

Before that it was either drop Ab or Bb standard, and occasionally double dropped. That one's really fun.

So you have 2 Gs together same octave? That's different.
That diminishes the range a bit doesn't it?

ADGCFAD and BEADGBE. Anything lower goes to my two eights, which is 8 string drop E and F# Standard.

As for gauges, I'm not picky. A lot of my guitars are new enough where they still have the stock strings so I haven't spent time worrying about gauges.

B standard on a 25.5" scale. I use a D'Addario 11-49 set with a 62 for the low B.

26.5" scale. A# standard. I just started using EXL120+ (9.5 - 44) with a 56 for the low A# string.

A# standard is my primary tuning. I will occasionally go to drop G# but not much. 27" scale.
