I just would like to know, how do you approach your B string?

1. I use it all the time in riffs, like the 6th string of a 6string
2. I use it if I feel I need those extra low notes
3. I only use it when I solo, it's easier to play scales with it.

Riffing, soloing, chords extensions ... All the time, in fact, as a part of the instrument and not an optional string.

I use it for pretty much everything but moreso than anything else I love using it for clean chord inversions.

I try to play everything on my 7 that I normally would on my 6 stringers.
I don't see it as an optional striing either, I just see it as part of the instrument.

Do you cuddle with it afterwards or just leave?

it's weird. sometimes i never touch it and sometimes i don't play on anything but the low B. depends on what i'm writing, my mood, etc

I think I use mine for chord extensions more than anything else.

My 7th string is actually a D since I tune up so I use it in general riff patterns but most of my bands material is between the 7th fret and the 19th fret on the 1st through 5th strings. My "added" string is a high G that gets used for shred parts and chords to add dissonance. Fun stuff.
