I have a baritone 28,625 conversion neck on my Squier Stagemaster 7 with the string through body and was wondering how long are the Erie Ball 9-80 string set is, and if these will fit my guitar. I see guys have had issues with the 10-74 set, but haven't seen anything on length issues with the 9-80 ones.

I'm not sure, but I know the D'addario NYXL are fine. Basically the same set but with a better B string gauge

@Winspear don't you make your own strings? Do yours not stretch out to a longer scale? I'll check into the NYXL's

You'll get 36" out of mine so certainly nothing to worry about there haha

I have a 28.625" Agile 8 string, and the Ernie Ball sets are not long enough. The 80 starts to taper right at the nut.

So I finally got my Squier Stagemaster Baritone neck conversion done, and thought would share. I put a little video together of it and how it sounds:

So its a Maple 28-inch neck, with the Ernie Ball 9-80 8 string set. I just got rid of the 9, so its 11-80. And I have it in Drop F.

I also replaced the stock bridge pickup with the Dimarzio D Activator 7 and it sounds really good. Let me know what you think.

But with the extended scale length, the guitar feels and sounds much better now
