I'm really curious as to how this is justifying anything?

because every one i talk to says i have too many guitars and i'm just comparing, i have 2 acoustics and 3 electrics, from what I've found on here is that i have a normal amount of guitars, not a lot like everyone says i have

I see! Can we assume the people saying you have too many guitars aren't guitarists themselves?
What guitars do you currently have? A number of us have owned (or currently own) UV's and could probably offer some good advice on what to get.

I think guitar player standards are different from other peoples'. =) I've currently got 5 electrics, with one of those up for sale, and a 5-string bass inbound, and that seems like a small-ish number to me. I could name a dozen instruments I'd like to have without even thinking hard.

For the record, my current collection is:

Yamaha 311MS
Industrial Guitars aluminum hollowbody (for sale)
Peters Ranger 7-string
Schecter Jazz-7 semi-hollowbody
Oakland Axe Factory single-cut 8-string
Squier Vintage Modified Jazz V (inbound)

1. (...) I ask because I'm justifying into getting another 7 string (... )

2. (...)at this point I feel like I'm going to end up with like ten ibanez guitars in the next 15 years or so(...)

1. Are you married?
2. You will, probably more like in 5 years... They don't have to be all Ibanez though?

I am the first owner of an Ibanez Universe that has taken some ridiculous abuse, including trem abuse. The Lo-Pro edge 7 is very stable.

Most higher end LTD, ESP and higher end Schecter guitars have Original Floyd Rose trems, they are equally good from what I've heard. In the price range of that UV70OP I think it is definately worth it to check out other brands too. All famous brands can offer quality quitars for that money. Carvin is very nice too.

Make a list of specs and measurements that your ideal guitar should have, then try to find it. 99% chance that it already exists.

EDIT
Oops I forgot, here goes:

1 Ibanez Universe Greendot
2 Schecter A7
3 Schecter A7
4 Schecter A7+
5 ESP Ultratone 27" baritone sevenstring
6 LTD SC-607B
7 LTD WA-600
8 Edwards E-EN-165-A3 Aoi model
9 LTD M-1000M

Ibanez sr1006efm
Ibanez sr1206 (1995)
Ibanez m8m
Ibanez rg7620 black
Ibanez rg7620 matte gray
Ibanez rg8 black

honestly, I want to get rid of it all except for the m8m.. the 1006efm gets to stay until I can afford a custom bass.. I play in one tuning now, so having more than two guitars is pointless. but i still enjoy collecting. this time around i can focus on acquiring more refined instruments. i have a kxk inbound, and would like the next guitar to be a .strandberg* but built using stabilized woods and or carbon fiber. sort of like a strandberg/parker hybrid but a lot more durable.

....dreams..

Currently 4 electrics and 1 acoustic.

Carvin DC700
ESP Eclipse I CTM FT
ESP M-II
Jackson RR3

and a Tanglewood Sundance.

I can't really afford to have more than this. Not enough time to play them all, especially re-string/maintain/repair them all.
I'll not be buying any new guitars for a few years at least. If I ever do it will probably be something very different like a Strandberg.

Wheres that guy who has rooms and rooms filled with guitars? Maybe it was on a different forum but I definitely remember it being posted here, dude had like 1000 guitars.

I guess I probably have less than most, but I don't gig, and I'd rather have a couple great guitars than a bunch of mediocre ones.

6 strings:
-Dean Vendetta 1.0
-Fender American Deluxe Ash Stratocaster
-Taylor 410 acoustic (currently ~5000 miles away in California)

7 strings:
-Mayones Setius
-Schecter 007 Elite (currently ~5000 miles away in California)

8 strings:
-Ibanez RG8 in the post :)
