How to attain movie scores ?

I really want to get my hands on some scores to some old horror movies, but no publisher are selling things like this.
Does somebody know how to get hold of these kind of thing. I guess that you just don't mail the composer to the score.

You could ask your local library to hunt for them I guess...

I'm not sure if scores for films are ever actually published to be honest. I'd be interested to know myself.

Blockbuster movies like lord of the ring gets published. Most of john Williams works is available through hal leonard. But the smaller movies are harder to find I think you need to contact the company that released the movie, but I honestly don't know if that works or how you do it.
