How to download a patch

When i try to download a patch for my pod xt on here, i keep getting this message saying Warning: copy(./downloads//ec_tmp/NevermoreXt.rar) [function.copy]: failed to open stream: Permission denied in [path]/downloads.php on line 594
ERROR: File not found. Is it because i am new to the site, or am i doing something wrong?
