+1 Textures - Drawing Circles, Silhouettes.
+1 Devy (everything)

Karnivool - Themata, Sound Awake.
TOOL - Lateralus, 10,000 Days.
Isis - Wavering Radiant, In The Absence Of Truth, Panopticon.
Oceansize (everything)
COG - The New Normal, Sharing Space.

Ben Sharp's ambient stuff has been entertaining me recently. I'm new to it, and damn some of it's good. (benthesharp)

Yes The change at 5:58 is epic as fuck. Part II is here, and there's a huge buildup that starts around 6:05 and comes to an orgasmic cadence at 7:15.
Magma - Theusz Hamtaahk part 1, part 2, and part 3. There's a lot of repetition in this song (like every other Magma song), and at 36 minutes, it's not at all short, but there are some fantastically energetic moments if you have the patience.

Darkspace (give this one 2 mins) ...

Everyone basically said all my favorites already so i'm gonna post some of the songs that are more than likely gonna be on my snowboarding playlist this year! :wavey:

Sigur Ros - "Svefn-G-Englar"

Sigur Ros - "Gong"

Devin Townsend - "Storm"

Textures - "Messengers"

Textures - "Storm Warning"

The Contortionist - "Expire"
(the breakdown at 0:58 is my most favorite thing ever )

Deftones - "You've Seen The Butcher"

Deftones - "Hole In The Earth"

Then, as always, you gotta at least have some generic breakdown stuff thrown in there somewhere
Demolisher - "Destroy"

Summoning (especially the Let Mortal Heroes Sing Your Fame album)
THIS...

With Summoning you will not only want to look at the view from the top of the mountain but you will want to go into battle with any snowboarders that come close to you while you're going down the mountain...

Also, not sure if they've been mentioned but TesseracT

Dunno if the rest of their music is like this... but... i challenge anyone to listen to this and not feel like they are floating away into nothingness yet surrrounded by everything at the same time.

And no mention of Opeth? Really?

I figured somebody would've mentioned them and their first 2 albums for that epic "atmosphere" kind of sound.

Here's a good example:
