click for big pics.

Edit: added a few family shots :)

the fretboard is dryer than Joan Rivers, and the action is lower than Andrew Dice Clay. a little work, and i'll have another sweet 7 :metal:.

[action=Leon]joins the, "Mock Drew with our Strat 7's," club.[/action]

How do lazy GC employees factor in?

That aside, that's a pretty sweet guitar. You should let me borrow it. It'll make it back to you eventually. :D

i figure, given the terrible action, anyone who saw it saw the price and thought, "oh cool!" but then played it and thought, "oh yuck."

The fretboard looked maple to me for a second in that 3rd picture.

There was one just like that in a local music store here for the longest time until finally, someone bought it. I was tempted to pick it up myself but I had other things I wanted at the time. Nice score, Leon!

I require that you sell me that. Seriously. I was recording with my strat this morning, and thinking just how much a neck singlecoil eats everything else I've ever played alive, and how being a strat player from way back my style is STILL totally based around that explosive neck singlecoil tone. :/

Neck single coil pickups are amazing. I wish there were sevens made with SSH pickup configurations.

There is always the 007 elite? And it plays fantastic too!

That's all good. But I would really like a Strat-like seven string, alder or ash body, a trem and SSH pickups. I'm picky like that.

Did they ever make an offical Fender 7 and not just Squier?

There was a proto soneone took a pic of while it was in a store. The price was something like 14K. Do a search and you may find a thread on it.
