I decided to cover Misery Signals today (Melakartha)

wanted to try a new mix as well, I thought it turned out quite good for a couple hours of doodling

Guitars were lined out from my HT-5, and drums are superior 2.0

the kick drum is too dominant, i think. even on my tiny speakers ( I put the stereo monitors away for a while) they dominate the mix and warble a little.

guitar tone is very nice.

the snare has a little too much top end for my liking, maybe raise the low end to flatten it out some?

^^ Someone's gotta cover up for the fugly sounding bass which was a guitar, one octave down.

Thanks for the feedback guys. A lot of people were telling me that the kick was a bit weird, so I've changed it up and mixed it again

fuck yeah dude! misery signals are sooooooo great. and this is easily one of their best songs. one of the best sounding live bands i've ever seen. good job, the playing is great!

My desktop speakers (which I use to set the low-end levels right) blew last week, that explains the screwed up kick drum. After hearing it on multiple speakers and headphones I hate the sound of the kick

Now who'se up for the br00t vocals over this?

I want to do a cover of 'The Failsafe' as well - amazing melodic guitar lines.
