Some Russian dude over at the meshuggah forum had these built by a local luthier, 1200dollars each.

The black one looks like an 8-string version of what Nikt used to have. They look great, but I think it'd be cooler with a 30" scale. @_@

If the ibanez came with a maple top, binding and a ash body for the same price they want now, I might consider buying it.
