I had never seen that instrument either, but now I want to try one out.

I wonder if there is a 7-string version available :lol:

God damn kids today, Jimmy Page used to use one. I think if you check out The Song Remains the Same DVD he uses it on Dazed and Confused. Chris, I would have thought you would have known that :lol:

How do you play it?

One antenna controls volume, the other pitch. It senses the proximity of your hands to the antennas. The one Jimmy Page used eliminated the volume antenna and had a volume knob and an antenna for pitch.

Ive always wanted a theremin, but they are a bit expensive and I don't know if I would use it enough to justify that purchase.

I've seen theremins built into guitar bodies before. I actually built one as a kid, cost about $200 all up with el cheapo parts and I crushed it getting out of bed the next morning, heh. Someday I'd love to try and put together another, maybe optimise it for use in conjunction with a guitar, using it as a signal processor or something.
