I had 5 of my Guitars Stolen - What do I need to do Next?

Get a police report going, and call your local elected representatives. They're more likely to listen to constituents and have the mechanisms to apply pressure/call favors in with law enforcement to do anything, especially if this is felony-level theft. Our constable will get into these kinds of disputes where there's a clear party in the right and resolution to be made. Best outcome I see is being able to convince police prior that the equipment is indeed yours, and a cop coming along to a sale to enforce a handover of stolen property. Don't expect charges to be brought unless there's definitive evidence he stole them.

I've had my identity stolen and went to the police before and they pretty much laughed at me and I had to force them to file a report lmao. I don't think it had anything to do with funding or politics they are just DICKS here where I live (15 minutes away from E St. Louis lmao). I hope your local police are cool and help you tho. I also know allot of people who have Iphones stolen and can track it to a specific location, and even then the police are like "if you go over to their house we'll arrest you". That's the kinda shit you get around here. FTP (or my police at least lmao)

So I did file a police report and an officer came. We are working on the case now....

I went by after work today because the people that still live there are my friends and I went to see my buddy Jay and give him a couple things since he's been recovering from surgery. I talked to him about the situation and he said "Bro I wonder if he put them in his band practice space above the Garage"

The guy and his band practice in the space over the detached garage, which is why I think he got the house in the first place. I went to the door, it was locked, but Jay saw a window and said if we can get to it maybe we can look inside. Well, a nice aluminum ladder was right next to the house. I climbed up to the window and sure enough the case for the Schecter and the RG550 was RIGHT IN PLANE SIGHT.

So, I grabbed a sledge hammer and knocked down the door to the practice area. The Schecter and the RG550 were right there. I looked around for the others and noticed a door to a crawl space in the room. I opened the door and the other three Ibanezes were there!

I am beyond happy and super grateful for the support of my friends and the community here and at home in Virginia. Now all we have to do is track the guy, he has the Vola. Possibly my buddy is going to meet with him this week. Hope to hear from the Police soon.

I also feel 100% better about my intelligence because this guy is a Dumbass....

I doubt it will happen, Considering what he stole is grand larceny, I could clearly see my property from the window and he is not the owner of the house? Yeah....

I would have taken my guitars back, stolen some extra stuff and then played dumb. When he asked me about the break I'd go "Yeah my guitars got stolen a couple days ago too. This area must be getting bad, I'm glad I moved
