Yeah, I just impulse bought a guitar too. :yesway:

I think you have to have a strat in the stable. They are their own beast for sure. If you find one you like, just hang on to it because I've played many crappy ones....I never should have sold my Yngwie.

P.S. Guitar less box makes better pics.

I still say it's a jackson that he bought second hand, and they shipped it in a fender box.

If it's not a Jackson, it should be traded in for a Jackson immediately. :metal:

Unless it's a Wayne Custom or something.

No Fender will ever cure the itch for a Jackson, but then, this is in the "other guitars" subforum, sadly, not in the "sevenstring guitars" subforum. :(

When I got my H207 from DSS3, it was in a Schecter box, inside of a Fender box, both of which were wrapped heavily in duct tape

Tried using my Kryptonic powers of x-ray vision, but all I saw was the inside of a computer monitor. Is that what you bought?

Nothing elaborate. However... How can you pass up a flat gray finish with neck binding, a reverse headstock and sharkfins? :D

That new Guitar Center special! Sweet! Not a bad impulse buy at all. I love the "deluxe" sharkfin inlays.

Nice! Where'd you get it? GC? How's it play? Like an Ibanez? How's it sound? Like an Ibanez?

Like how I answered all of my own questions with my own questions?

$400 at GC. The thing plays just like an RG. It's absolutely shred-tastic. The stock pickups aren't bad at all, but I'll be swapping them out anyhow. I was just string shopping and I saw the headstock poking up behind some amps. The finish is awesome, it's totally flat, no gloss at all. :yesway:

I like matte finishes, but this is the first matte grey I've seen.

Any idea what pickups you are going to go with?
