I won't have to, because the AI will say it for me.You won't be saying that in five years when ChatGPT
Every NGD thread needs a 56k warning, a picstory and a random knife picture in front of the box. That is peak SSO history.I hesitated making a 56k joke on my last NGD thread's title. Definitely doing it for my next NGD and watch the children ask questions.
I can see supporting a family owned business, but I have personal beef with the man. I won't go into specific detail because it's not a *huge* deal, but it gave me the kind of vibes of a neighbor coming over and asking for a cup of splenda, but all I had was a cup of sugar and they scoff and leave without so much as a "thanks, but no thanks." (This was years ago after I sold the two guitars I had and was looking to order another once I got on stable feet again, so it's mostly irrelevant to talk about in detail now.)Everyone always shits on Kiesel because of Jeff. And, yes, while I agree that he seems like kind of a dick, I think it's cool that he still works in the shop and interfaces so much with customers (frankly, if I had to consistently interact with the fucking nerds who post on TGP and SSO--myself included--I'd probably be more of a dick too). He doesn't have to do either of those things. I'd rather support a family-owned business any day over private-equity corporate bullshit like Gibson/Fender.
I also think it's cool that Kiesel continues to support Jason Becker with his medical costs by selling the tribute models.
I do appreciate the knife picture with the box. Not sure why. Extra points when the box says Ibanez but it's an ESP inside (or vice versa, you get it).Every NGD thread needs a 56k warning, a picstory and a random knife picture in front of the box. That is peak SSO history.
Could be sooner...we've already got the gu-girdle-itarYou won't be saying that in five years when ChatGPT gobbles up Gibson and starts selling us 5-string "LexplorerSG" guitarrobasses.
What if it's a GOC in a Legator box?Extra points when the box says Ibanez but it's an ESP inside (or vice versa, you get it).
No.What if it's a GOC in a Legator box?
I always thought it was an acronym but if it's pronounced "gock" that might get some traction...I'm disappointed there isn't a "Show Me Your GOC" thread

Ooh yes, I'll help pad this one out as well then.I'm just here for helping out with filling 22 pages by saying that I've never seen a Kiesel guitar in the wild. Kiesel is almost non-existant in Europe. So all this bitchin' an praising Kiesel is like discussing leprechauns to me.

You know what? I live in California and I don't think I have either...I'm just here for helping out with filling 22 pages by saying that I've never seen a Kiesel guitar in the wild.

I've seen plenty of Carvins being gigged and hanging on "used" racks but nothing Kiesel-branded that I can recall.
as someone who's played a few Kiesels, including a K series, and found them all "fine", I do feel like I've heard there's certain models they seem to make that are just better than their other stuff. I think Vaders are the main ones I've heard people say have something special going on. Maybe Jeff and co actually try with the Becker guitars since some of the $$$ goes towards him?The Kiesel Becker guitars are fantastic. I want another one day.
They have thicker bodies than any other strat I have seen so I always thought it was because of that. Wouldn't be surprised if they did give them a better eye, but they dicked the one they made me so I'm not the right guy to ask about that.as someone who's played a few Kiesels, including a K series, and found them all "fine", I do feel like I've heard there's certain models they seem to make that are just better than their other stuff.
