I've been listening to Periphery, Animals as Leaders, Elitist, and Atlanticore, I'm struggling to find some more bands that do all those weird syncopated rhythms and what not. Any suggestions are much appreciated!

Thanks again!:hbang:

got-djent.com | got djent?

My favorite djent artists are:

Animals as Leaders
Periphery
Uneven Structure - 8 (Free album)
Vildhjarta
Sithu Aye (who posts here! username, c2aye) - Cassini (Free album)
SEES (who posts here, too! username, seesthend) - The enD (Free album)
Cloudkicker - Download his whole discography for free :D
Chimp Spanner
Tesseract
Meshuggah
???? (yes, it's read "Four Question Marks")
SiKth
Fractals

Not too many other bands catch my attention though... but there are more. Lots of good music come out of djent. A lot of shit does, too, though...

with "Djent" being fairly new, you can't expect there to be TONS of signed bands. there are bands that have similar sounds, just jump on youtube and let the related videos lead you on. Thats how i discover a lot of my favorite bands.

I'll save you a step though, TesseracT is another "djent" band.

Ever Forthright - RULES!!!
CAR BOMB - fucking rules!
Red Seas Fire - entertaining but maybe the most djenty of the bands I mentioned.

Self pimp for all my label's bands:

Not really djent, but still tehcnical with syncopation:

Now for some non signed and local/friend bands that rock:

My buddy and bandmate Joel (Kurkkuviipale on the forum) :

My band:

The Helix Nebula, from Sydney:

Halcyon, also from Sydney (prh on the forum) :

Now for stuff you can't go past, ever.

Monuments (Seriously follow any related links of them live, they are simplay amazing, and I'm sad to see Neema and Greg gone, phenomenal) :

OH! And that reminds me, you can't get much better than this:

Tune....

Red Seas Fire

Corelia:

Chimp Spanner:

You don't think Drewsif Stalin djents in any music? You've never listened to An Insomniac's Narrative then, have you?

Also, the OP is looking for a broader thing than the literal form of 'djent', he asked for 'syncopated rhythms and whatnot', all bands listed fit in the category. :agreed:

Well, it's hard for me to take someone seriously when there's sites like got-djent.com out there. Seems like a good place to start looking for djent bands, and it pops right up when you Google the word.:2c:

If I knew that 'let me google it for you' trick I'd've done it, I swear.

Was only talking about the bands in Corey's original post. But thanks for the advice. ;)
