YES!
I love this thread!!!!

Been using EMG's for 10 years and never looked back!
I literally have them in ALL my guitars!

To all the people that think they are good but just good at doing "one thing"
Try the X-Series!!!!
Phonomenal!!!
So much more headroom and dynamics
I can get away with using EMG's in a jazz band!!
hahahaha!!

I like EMG's because they give you clean gain and uncolored output so you have a single pickup that can do both super clean and super high gain sounds. I like passives but I haven't found one that can do what EMG's do.

I love EMG's a bit too much, on my Hellraiser Special 7 its just "that tone" and i love jamming for hours but i recently bought a carvin dc727 and as great as it is the pickups suck imo and i just can't bond with the guitar

I am a passive guy for sure, but EMG's have their place as well. Especially now that EMG is doing new things, such as the X series and Het Set. They have the EMG vibe but are much more dynamic. The Het Set in my EX sounds pretty damn huge and looks killer as well. I prefer EMG to Blackouts any day personally.
