I was just alluding to the "music is subjective" thing. As in a roomful of really talented humans aren't going to automatically mean musical magic for everyone. Fwiw, freak kitchen isn't really my jam, but the musicians kick ass for sure.

I meant to quote Metaldestroyer , oops . Oddly enough my guitar teacher a few years told me to check these guys out along with Extreme’s Pornograffiti haha . There’s a new Freak Kitchen single out , I’ll give it a spin and get back to this thread whenever I visit next

I find it funny how SSO hates on TT frets. I wonder if most people here test them under these conditions. The bass player in Freak Kitchen doesn't have TT frets and they sound great with Mattias' guitars (wich is often not in standard tuning). The keys in Dirty Loops also sound great with the TT bass. MIsha recorded some stuff in the Clear EP in Drop C and it sounded great. What people here claim really goes agains my experience with these frets and with what is explained on their website.
I have a double locking headless forward and back tremelo TT fanned fret 7 (String Pluckery 017) and it sounds great in all situation. You can Drop D in fact I think Per Nillson is in Drop A or Down a full step for the majority of his songs.

Certain strings are sharp in TT tuning and you would have to load the same offsets in but since A is 0 offset, no offset required.
Bit of a shameless plug, but you can check what TT frets sound in my band. It's the only TT instrument being played agains tons of regular ones and countless orchestral virtual instruments. Of course you can't hear many of the advantages of TT frets as I'm only playing power chords (they really shine on full chords in my experience), but there is zero clashing with the rest of the instruments.
If you listen to Per Nillson interviews when he was with Meshuggah it got to a point where he actually started noticing the difference in tuning with the rest of the guys. He went back to standard frets shortly before leaving Meshuggah. He has kept playing TT in Kaipa, Nocturnal Rites and others.

Vai has a lot of songs recorded in TT but live doesn't play the same guitar? I think it's the same thing.

I'll buy one if you buy one, I just need another crab in the bucket with me if I spend 5k on the thing and it sucks ass lmfao
I don’t want to spend $4200 on one, but I DO want one, natch. Maybe I’ll wait until no one buys them, and the price drops. I mean, it’s an 8 with Floyd, so you KNOW it’s gonna happen.

I've always wanted to try to use push-push pots instead of push-pull when needed. I just worry that push-push knobs seem a little less reliable?
My esp has a push push coil split and while it is much quicker to use, it's also pretty touchy and much more prone to accidentally switching when I touch that knob.

Was on the freak guitar camp last week, and the guitar looks way better in real life, also plays, feels and sounds very good.

They are made in sweden. And yes not cheap, but for a build in EU TT 8 string with floyd it's not bad at all
Outlandish, esoteric guitars typically require an outlandish, esoteric price tag. But whomever is building for IA seems to have struck somewhat close to a decent middle-ground as far as asking price versus build cost (labor involved, materials, etc.).

Yes, the price is still high, but least it’s not as high as his Caparison Apple Horn TT 8-string, which was sitting at $6K brand new here in the USA and units of the model sell for literally half price ($3K average, or less) on the used market nowadays.
