Its $3300 at musicians friend and it has been discussed at length in the Ibanez 2013 thread.
I can't believe you didn't read all 93 pages...

Hey I love the guitar and all but I think its a travesty that they go and name it a "Jem" and then put Blaze's in it.... Should have Evo's as the Jem does...

I am struggling big time with two new Steve Vai 7 strings.
I've been waiting and hoping Ibanez would do a reissue of the Green Dot for a long time (the original UV7bk's are as rare as hens teeth where I live and I like to buy new). So I was excited when they announced a reissue, but disappointed that it's not MIJ and has the Edge II.
But then there's the Jem 7V7, which would be an awesome guitar, but I'm not total in love with the white and gold. I kinda like it, but not sure that I like it enough to spend $3300 on it.
So, I am yet to decide between the two... or, I just wait another few years to see if that illusive "perfect" guitar is ever made.

That Jem sure is purdy. Really nice looking, but I'd feel kinda weird trying to rockout with it.

Yeah it is pretty expensive... It does come with the new carbon fiber bar though which is like 90 bucks... I want one though since I prefer the tone (mostly transient response) of my guitars without the bar in but I love using my whammy.

There's a practically NOS Green Dot in the classifieds right now. Even with shipping and import it probably won't cost you $3300.

Does anyone actually have one of these????

Doubtful, as I was told these wouldn't be hitting the US till April/May by my local dealer. Some places say March, but......look at the calendar.

I think its the "most clever" Jem Ibanez has ever come up with. It confuses the Jem/Universe paradigm of "Jems have 6 strings, Universes have 7 strings, and they are both Steve Vai's signature model guitars." I would actually buy one but its a long way down the list!

A 7 string Jem is a very beautiful and desirable thing. Gorgeous- much more so (to me) than the Universe...

But then I do so love my RG1527. And it's blue.

Damn, that's hot. I'll take 12.

Not to mention all the high end Jems already have 7 in their model number.
