Hi guys,
I recently finished new paint job for my ibby 7 string. Just want to get opinions on how it is. I coated the base white with aerosol white can and the graphics is done by fabric paint.

Also I think the paint will dry in a few days and I will have to coat it with polyurethane. Any help is highly appreciated........

Here are the pics. The body looks much better in person. The pics don't do it justice. ( at least for what i think) :D

Very Nice, I used barbed wire pin stripping on one once. Anyway I am a fan of Nitro clear coat finish.
You can get pretty big cans from Stew Mac.Dries very hard and I can hear a difference in tone also.
I`ve done three with the Nitro spray. Did you use lacquer or enamel? Only use nitro with lacquer.

I like it. Not the usual paint we see around here.
Very nice & creative job.

Thanks guys.
and I don't know where to get laquer. Stewmac doesn't ship nitro internationally.
I will try to get it at local automotives shops.
also the fabric paint is used is water based. Will it be okay with the laquer?

I have no idea what works with fabric paint? You could get a clear auto lacquer and test it on another piece of wood first.

I found something named "bilux" of asian paints. It requires some hardener and mineral spirit for spraying. Is it laquer?

Hi guys,
Reason for this bump is I have assembled my guitar again.
Only thing I am waiting for is a good set of prewired electronics.

Any Idea what should I opt for? Volume for each pickup or one master tone and volume ?

one vol and one tone would be cool.

Whats the deal with strings being strung through the wrong tuning posts?

:D. Thats coz I used older strings which weren't long enough.
I strung using them as I will wire it then use a fresh set. Perhaps the elixir brand.

And I don't remember using the tone knob . But my question is when I will combine pups for clean sounds, and volume for both are altered differently, wouldn't it be too much trouble in live situations?
