Just a basic question of which seems better?
Both are fairly high range instruments, although I have had some decent play time on an RG2228, I am fairly certain the Stephen ESP models can't top it.
Any other models in comparison will be greatly appreciated. :hbang:

(This is pretty much to settle a dispute between a mate and I.)

In my opinion, I think the ESP Stephen C. models have a bigger sound and better tone. But in terms of playability, I think the RG2228 comes out on top since a lot of shredders and whatnot prefer that super thin neck, ya know? (Also, you could compare the middle position pickup on the ESP to the regular neck position pickup on the Ibanez.)

One thing though....look at the price differences. That has got to say something. (Maybe not about playability, but maybe about quality. The ESP STEF-B8 is light years ahead of the ESP LTD cheapy models.)
