Incoming Bernie Rico Jr Jekyll 727!

Just got some cellphone pictures from Bernie Rico Jr of my finished custom Jekyll 727. So stoked, the finish looks ridiculous!!

It's all mahogany neck-thru with a big flame maple top. Pickups are Bare Knuckle Aftermath bridge, Riff-Raff neck.

Wasn't sure about the pickup covers but they seem to work beautifully with the lack of inlays in the neck.

Sweet guitar! That bridge looks way out of intonation though. Some douche claimed to do a "setup" on my buddies Ibanez and set all the saddles like that lol.

Actually, the 727 stands for 7-string, 27 frets, IIRC.

this is not a Rondo guitar. this is not even remotely sound logic - you should know better than this. an Agile 727 is a 7 stringer with a 27" scale. A Bernie 727 is a 7 string with 27 frets.

Finish looks good.. still can't get into Rico's body & headstock shapes at all.

so what is a carvin 727? I was going on the logic that this number system was pretty common.. Sounds logical to me...
I could be wrong... the guitar does have 27 frets..

Well having owned a Jekyll 627 I can tell you that 27 means frets and not scale length.


EDIT: That is why the 24 fret Jekyll is called a 624.
