Invader 100 or Invader 150

Well... mostly i play metal.

the general consensus is that people like the 100 over the 150. i've only played the 100, so i can't speak for myself.

i doubt you'll ever need the extra-headroom, and afaik the only difference are the 50 watts and that both have different bright switch capabilities.

IMO the bright switch makes a huge difference, makes channels 3 and 4 sound way better, and on the 150, the bright switch doesn't work on channels 3 and 4. So 100 all the way.

i'm off to try an Invader 100 out tomarrow, and depending on wether i like and if they will take my VHT as a trade in, i will be getting it

What about people that are caught inbetween? I know I can't be the only one that loves Necrophagist and death metal that is technical, but I'm not a huge fan of the overly compressed tones of the SE, tones like Kalmah and Archons and such are pretty good as well....so that fits right inbetween the Invader 100/150.

I'd go 100 version aal the way. A 100 Watt has more power than you will ever need and although they sound a little bit different, you can never crank the powertubes with the 150 like the 100. Just my humble opinion.

I'm still waiting to hear an A/B test between the two, as I own the 150, and have heard the 100 from about 6 feet away (at a Fellsilent gig), and couldn't hear any difference.

Maybe they changed it for the new ones. If you read the manual, it even says it only works on channels 1 and 2.
