I got Dookie on vinyl a couple weeks ago, and that's sent my back down the pop punk rabbit hole of songs I haven't heard since high school. Now I'm gasing hard for a stickered up Strat.

I've been looking for a hardtail Strat, and you would think as few people use the bar, they would be easier to find. I know there's a bunch of 70s Strats that are hardtails, the Tom Delonge Strats, which are a hell of a lot more than they were last time I looked at them, and the Squire Bullets.

Are there anymore Strats I don't know about I should look at? All I'm looking for is a hardtail, and a maple board would be nice for nostalgia purposes (first guitar), other than that the specs don't really matter.

But really, you could get any ol strat and just block the trem with a tremstopper, tremel-no, or just a piece of wood.

I thought about getting one of those back in the day and putting an EMG in it, just like everyone else did. :dime:

I know I could just block the trem, my first guitar had 5 springs in it, and that'll keep it locked down unless your SRV, I just want one with a hardtail. Which probably explains why my best Strat is a Charvel knock off.

Are you me? Because I’ve been on a similar kick too. Also check out the Band Bayside. Newer, but have a lot of pop-punk goodness imo.

I wish mid tier hardtail strats were more common.

Also LOVE the Jake E Lee. My first strat was 21 frets. Big stretches.

As long as you’e fine with none Fender models, ESP/Ltd have two Sn-1000 models and a Sn-200 that fit the bill.

I'm fine with non Fenders as long as they're still vaguely Fenderish. There's a couple Sn-200s on Reverb that look like something I'd have to explain to wife.

If "vaguely" is good enough, I'd recommend a used Carvin bolt.
There were plenty built with a fixed bridge, in a variety of finishes obviously- and maybe about a third have a maple fretboard from what I've seen historically.
The quality is on a level of many 2k$ guitars, and you can sometimes find them for a third of that price, especially if you check locally.

I have 2 of these. People usually overprice them, but I was lucky enough to get one new when it first came out, and then stumble upon a cheap one in a pawn shop.
The cheapest one on Reverb is like $650...

Those FGN are very tempting based on name and origin alone.
Has anyone here tried one of them?

I have a hardtail squier that I'm putting a new mighty mite neck on. It's top loading though. I second checking out Bayside too. They use Les Pauls if i'm not mistaken. There are a few squier stagemasters/showmasters that are hardtail.

Man, I've been wanting their shred-Tele for forever. Seeing as how they're made in the same Fujigen factory as Prestige Ibanez, I'd imagine they're extremely similar in build quality, as all the experiences I've heard so far have said. https://fgnguitars.com/eg/iliad/jil2ashde664g/

Long scale factory tuned to Drop C modern singlecut with Fishmans made in Fujigen...can't believe that's not the number one most laked about guitar on SOO.
