Has anybody heard about a new "Pro Plus" series? MIC with some pro styling.

First I'm hearing of it, but a quick google gives me a few things:

The second one there is MIK with a KWJ serial indicating WMI Korea-made.

I think this might be the "Wildcard/Limited Edition" for this year, but not exclusively MIK. I expect these will show up on the website officially any day now and some dealers have jumped the gun a bit. This continues J/C's trend of differentiating on specs rather than country of origin outside of the MJ and US-made stuff.

the Pro Plus series really have caught my attention now, with heel spoke design and stainless steel frets....now if they have a good 7 stringers i could be sold on it

The DK Moderns with an Evertune that are in stock so far are all MIK. So, if that's what you're into then I bet those will less of a gamble than the MIC stuff.

However, what us big Jackson fans really want is just want a 7 string SL2H, 25.5" with a Floyd, and good build quality. The non Loomis sig SL7 which is made in Indonesia is kind of that, but the finishes are boring and fretwork is hit or miss, plus no sharkfins.

As a Schecter fanatic i might become a heretic and snag a Jeff Loomis Soloist 7. Its basically a Schecter in almost everything but name and shape anyway (plus no SS frets)

Mine is great!

The fretwork was perfect from the factory. I figured I'd it ever needs a fret level I'll just have it refretted with stainless steel at that time. Likely at least 10 years from now since I spread out my playing between like 10 different guitars.

Just saw the whole drop from Jackson. These look cool, definitely not a finish I saw coming from them. I'd probably go for the dinky HH models. Even though I'm not a floyd guy the Indigo blue one looks really really good in pics. Hopefully a local GC or Sam ash will get some of these in. The 2 near my house where I live have always had a piss poor selection of jackson, especially any model above 400 bucks.
