FYI: If you swap to a Schaller locking tremolo there is almost no gap.
I did do that swap on my 94 Jackson Professional XL, I almost went with that on this one as well but wanted to try an OFR,a nd finding a chrome Schaller at the time I did this was proving to be problematic. the black ones are easy to find

seeing the new EVH Star model with the new headstock, I thought hey'd never release a banana headstock...so i found a desolation charvel for cheap last month (stars are a PITA to find... it's either those , or USA models or Gus G model, not a lot in between) and modded it a bit, schaller trem, some gold parts....), the seller finally changed his mind and voila !

Good looking star! You are right they are very tough to find. The desolation is a good series for the money.

Semi custom. SD has this Floor Shop Custom program where they only allow you to change colors, logos, covers etc. Just the aesthetic mods you can do to the pickups. 6-8 week build time.
I thought they discontinued this? *GEAR HOARDING INTENSIFIES*
