I know, I know. I just prefer the look and simplicity of a real hardtail.

I'm bipolar with my bridges. I sometimes like a stable bridge, but sometimes I want to do a little trem widdly widdly. Gonna have to get me a tremol-no for it. :D

Without that 7th string, it just looks to me like yet another Schecter. Not that that's a bad thing, of course

Dude what's up with the pickup rings? :(

You mean the things that actually allow you to correctly adjust pickup placement/height? I think all guitars should have 'em. :yesway:

They only adjust height, not placement... and mounted pickups can be raised/lowered as well.

Hmmmmmmm. Looks like Schecter is taking the Loomis aesthetic and putting it into a line.

Pickup rings just work. Direct mounting only works occasionally, in my experience, ESPECIALLY with TOM bridges. I'm all for aesthetics, when they don't get in the way of function, but having a direct mount bridge PU with a TOM is a pain in the ass.

With EMGs, especially, when you need to jack them almost against the strings for them to sound right, well, they're practically a necessity.

Install pickup, string up to pitch, realize pickup needs to come up, raise pickup, watch pickup cant at odd angle, slack strings, remove pickup, add foam, tune strings, realize pickup is too high, crank down, run out of room because their is too much foam, slack strings, remove pickup, pull out some foam, tune strings, realize pickup is at wrong angle, slack strings...

the rain soaked post industrial wasteland known as
i thought he exclusively used 7s? since nevermore is now defunct ( :( :( :( ) is he involved with some project where he's using a 6?

I don't know if he does actually use a 6 anymore but Schecter had requests for a Loomis 6 and sometime around september they asked people on their Facebook page if they'd want one and a lot of people said yes so now we have this.
