Some specs:
Mahogany body
ebony fretboard
maple neck
no inlays
black hardware
straplocks
blueburst finish

pics are attached, sorry for the mediocre quality, im not much of a photographer

Also, I have a question (sorry, should probably go to the pickups thread), if I wanted to change out the stock bridge pup for a JB 7, would it fit? or would some routing be necessary?

That's a damn nice guitar, especially for a first 7! I don't imagine there would be any problems with the JB, but I'm sure one of the guys here that uses them could give you a more definite answer.

Nice! :yesway:

Carvin's have smaller than normal pickup routes. So you might have to enlarge the pickups routers very slightly.

It's possible to install a Duncan without enlarging the rout, but difficult. You'd have to remove much of the tape around the side of the pickup and clip some off from the mounting tabs. And even with that, it's a VERY tight fit. You'd also have to drill a new mounting-screw hole on the bass side, since Carvin uses dual screws on that side.

Congrats!
Carvin7's are great guitars.
I have a Duncan Custom going into the bridge of mine.
the stock bridge pickups on these sound like Fender Strats to me now.
way to thin for real "metal" but not bad for fusion or clean playing.
My Luthier is going to put it in. I don't want to mess with the quilt on mine. :spock:

mmm thats a sexy carvin. i had to do some routing for putting in pickups in my carvin but it was pretty easy. just take some 80 grit sandpaper and sand carefully.
