strange because I've never used a hellraiser that was heavier than a K-7, all the HRs I've played have been fairly light.

Yeah, I tried a Hellraiser C7 at the local guitar place, and it was very light in my opinion.

Isn't mahagony suppouse to be heavy?
Should I consider the japanese s7420 if I dont mind the
22 frets and changing the broidge, or it will not sound and
feel as good as the K-7?

i have 1 and like it. but it is not the same as the k7. even considering the 22 frets. it plays and sounds totally different than the k7.

How different?
I remember trying the older 6 s prestige's, I really liked themactually.
The question is if the K-7 is another league, or it costs more because
it's a signature.

mahogany is heavier than alder or swamp ash, but hard ash is heavier and maple is much heavier.

maple > hard ash > mahogany > alder > swamp ash

not that the quality is any different. i have only played a k7 at the music store but i own a 7620 and a s7420. the s just seems like a tighter guitar shall i say. the k7 i played dripped of quality work as soon as i touched it lol.you can really tell a difference when you pick one of those up compared to a indonesian made 7321.

I'd go K7 unless you feel that an additional inch of scale would benefit your style of playing.
