Little update for today: got the fretboard trimmed and binding scraped on the ash/walnut guitar.

A bit of work on the neck:

It still needs some blending in the heel and volute transition areas and overall scraping/refinement, but it feels nice so far.

A lot of little things today, most weren't really picture material.

However, I did bookmatch some wenge for the upcoming 8 string:

looks like it has a natural fade/burst from one end to the other.

what direction is the guitar going? don't think you could go wrong either way.

Yeah, it's a pretty cool piece, I like the little mountain shape in the middle. I'm leaning toward keeping more of the tighter dark grain, but still having trouble deciding. I'll take a pic and post it when I finally figure it out :D

Dude...... Nice.

Forgive my lo res image and slap dash outlining/Perspective correction, but I think it would look amazing as below (providing this is the body shape it is used for):

Installed Jescar 58118SS fretwire:

Made a matching walnut backplate and started the final sanding process:

Started body prep for the multi 8 and chose a top orientation:

At this point in the ash/walnut build I'm just sanding a lot, so there's not really much to photograph. Here's a few little things I can show:

I've gone and installed machine screw inserts for the pickup mounting points, made a walnut backplate from the remainder of top material, and painted the control cavity with shielding paint.

I'm waiting on paint and decals for the ash/walnut 6, so I've been doing a bit of work on the maple 7 and retro V.

Starting another V!

Here's the first day's batch of pics, just a bunch of cutting, sanding and routing.:

Thanks for taking a look!
