grab a flextone II or somethin instead :)

:agreed:

mini-stacks won't compensate lack of tone by looks... if you want a smaller jam/practice amp, get a real head thru one 1x12 cab or a combo amp

Erm, just do what I do and buy an attenuator. A good one like the THD Hotplate, Dr Z Airbrake or one of the Weber models won't damage your amp. You can use your full size tube head at home without pissing off the neighbours or your family.

At the minute its just the stock tubes, its the rev 1.
tubes are 4 – Premium Electro Harmonix 12AX7 preamp tubes
4 – Premium Sovtek 5881 power tubes

I dont boost it, or use a EQ.

If your looking for small tube stuff get a mesa f-30 :agreed: small but still loud as fuck

...which doesn't make it an ideal practice rig. ;)

It's also pretty damned pricey. I was seriously impressed by the amp myself, but it's hardly an affordable "practice" amp, but more of a low-wattage gigging rig.

If you want cool tones at low volumes, the Behringer GMX212 is badass. That replaced my F-30 (great amp but too powerful for home use).

Oh look, how cute...Krank-stank now comes in Child-size doses.

I second the Roland cube, those little things work magic!

The "H&K blue edition" smokes the roland cube. But for your need I would try a big combo like the 100watt 2x12 vox valvetronix xl;

VOX AD100VT-XL

Also the behringer mention above is pretty sweet.
