Alright so it's merry old Yuletide and the girlfriend spotted me eyeballin' this beauty of a pickup and got it for me early.

Thought of throwing it in my Jackson RR3 with a 1 meg potentiometer in the volume knob for the bridge.

So the question being is this:

How well might it sound in an alder body playing some Blackened Death Metal?
How well will the 1 meg pot react to the pickup(it's going in the bridge)?

Any experiences with this pickup?
Pros?
Cons?

Its very bright. A 1 meg pot , alder body and a bright high output pickup will be too much treble.
you might wanna stick to 500

mate Lace recommend using a 250k Pot and after I ignored that advice and used a 500k pot, TRUST ME, use a 250k pot.

Ive got the set in a dark sounding, Mahogany/Rosewood 8 string, and I really dislike the sound of the set. Presumably because I used the incorrect Pot.

1meg would be borderline, worst pickup sound ever imo.

Alright sick, no 1 meg pot it is lol.
Not sure what my RR3 has for pots in it though, I'll be sure to get a 250k.

I've heard the demos just never heard it in something specifically stated as an alder guitar so its got me iffy.

how is the clarity overall? from what I have heard its crispy like some baked chips.

How does it fair in lowered tunings? I have the RR3 set for B standard

both the deathbucker and x-bar are very clear sounding pickups and work really well in lower tunings imo.

its defo crispy sounding. Has a HD Hi Fi type sound. Very VERY articulate and clear. Super twangy.
