Laney Ironheart Studio Question

Hey,

I'm interested in purchasing an Ironheart Studio, however I have one concern and I was hoping you folks could help me with. I know the Studio is both an amp and a studio preamp (among other things), but can it be used as a preamp. Specifically, can I hook it up to a power amp and use it as if it were a POD or really any other preamp?

Im pretty sure you can't use it only as a preamp. You can use only the power-amp though, if it has an FX loop.

It does have an FX loop, which means you should be able to use it as a preamp - just run the FX send from the IRT to the input of your power amp.
