Yeah except you're limited to buying used for the Artisan models these days.

Wow, went through some boards and - those Thorns are really pricey!

And, if I wanted to swap humbuckers for some hum-sized p90 there wouldn't be no problem, BUT I DON'T WANT TO (sorry for caps, I want everybody to see ). I love full sized p90, love how they respond to pick, their dynamics, their tone, so I'm pretty sure that I wouldn't find all those nuances in hum-sized p90.

May be look in some classifieds for a good old used LAG Roxanne Vintage (P90s). I can recommend it as an ex regular user
As you can see with this one you can practice bottleneck (btw Vodka from Poland is my fav. and no doubt it can sounds more mellow than those vulgar borosilicate glass slides xD)

Nope. You DEFINITELY don't want one of these. One of the worst guitars ever made. Hands down, a flat out hunk of shit. Buy a Gibson Dude.
