Hi guys

I am looking to start my own solo recording project once i get my laptop fixed,

I already have most of the hardware i require, except a couple of mics and a MIDI keyboard, but the main thing i need to get is the software

Since i am in college full time i can get student discount on cubase, reason and protools, from things i have seen prootools and reason look the most straightforward to use, although i will probably acquire superior drummer a some point reason is not an option

What would generally be considered the best DAW for someone who is just starting out recording?

There's a DAW comparison thread a few days ago, should give you some help. But basically, Cubase.
