Have a good day, guys.
I'm going to get a custom multiscale 7, but I'm at crossroads now. Should I do routing for a soapbar 8 or just slant standard m7 string one?
The fan is not extremely big 26 - 27.9.
Any thoughts on this?
Thank you in advance for your help.

If Lundgren offers slant pickups, you might as well go that route.

IMO the only good application of using "one string bigger" is with active pickups on multiscale guitars like Ibanez and Agile do. Most of those pickups use blade magnets instead of individual poles, so everything ends up being balanced across all the strings anyway  same for Lace pickups like the Deathbar/X-Bar

Johan will do slants, but be warned that it's $$$$. The M8C is the cheaper option for sure.

I have first hand experience with this. Go with slants. It will have weird phase issues if you go with regular pickups. At the very least use active soap bar pickups.

Is it? Which kind of issues? The magnetic field is way bigger than pole pieces. Though that only aesthetic issues with extra string pup.

I have got two sets of slanted Lundgrens from Johan before, highly recommended but they are very expensive.

Johan offers two slants, 14 and 25 I think. The 25 should work fine with your fan.

Oh my~
I'm one of your subscribers. Well done man!
Yeeeah, I know that Johan can offer the slanted version for extra $$$ but I have only two options: m8c or try to slant m7 by myself.
Thank you all for your help!
