Mahogany: An Unstable Neck Wood for a 7?

I'm currently GASsing for a Schecter Hellraiser C7. One thing stands in my way. The mahogany neck. Now I own a mahogany necked 6 string, but I'm concerned about the stability given the added tension of the 26.5" scale. What do you think? Even other guitar suggestions in the price range are cool with me.
