I have looked at this forum for some time now and have been inspired by a lot of the builds happening on it. I wanted to build a new 7-string for myself, so here we go...

Specs:
7 String
27" scale length
.125 hipshot bridge
Hipshot Locking Machine Heads
BKP Cold Sweat Calibrated Set
3-Way Toggle, Master Volume
Eravana or bone nut
One Piece Mahogany Body
Claro Walnut Carve Top
Abalone Strip inlay
Nicaraguan Rosewood Fretboard (Aged 30 years)
24 Frets
5 Piece Flamed Maple neck (Aged 20 years) with Nicaraguan Rosewood Laminates (Same as Fretboard)
Width of body: 1.5"

The flamed maple neck will be oiled and the body will be clear nitrocellulose lacquer. When I did some tap tone tests on the fretboard, I about died when I heard the ring and sustain. Thickness sanding the rosewood was awesome, smelled like chocolate the whole time.

Welcome! Very cool specs indeed. Are you going to leave some of the sapwood on the fretboard?

Thanks Everyone!!

The sapwood in the blank won't be in the fretboard. I didn't think it would go with the top.

Here are some more pics of the wood and build process.

The inlays remind me of Scantron sheets but it looks awesome! Pretty cool change from offset dots.
