So for those who are making their own drum patterns instead of modifying the preset ones, what are you using to do it? Are you using a midi keyboard to tap out your rhythms? Some type of pad? I just started using EZ2 over Addictive Drums and like the record function. I can finally tap out exactly what I want instead of modifying preset patterns to my taste. However, doing it with a mouse is kinda sucky..

Well I bought the Akai MPK Mini today. Going to give that a while to tap out some patterns.

I tab out all of my songs on a program called TabIt.

Create the drums on there and then import them into my DAW from there. Pretty quick and easy once you get used to it.

I tab mine out in Tuxguitar and then adjust velocities in the piano roll in my DAW; however, the drum editor in Cubase is super easy to use and I find myself using it more and more.
