Have Heart is/was one of the greatest melodic hardcore acts out there!
Saw them on their farewell tour some years ago and there was so much emotions and they were fucking great, check them out even if it's maybe not what you are after!
As dude is saying in post above, bands like TGI and FTFD are playing metalcore but is strongly influenced by hardcore and tend to write heavier stuff than typical metalcore acts like Killswitch Engage (but they can get pretty heavy to).
Don't know if someone have mentioned "Frontlines", but they are pretty good too!
