Mesa Boogie have an article on their Zendesk site that seems to indicate their serial numbers don't have the date encoded in them in any way and they're just sequential. They also appear to have different series for each product with different prefixes so like the first 50/50 was FF001 and the first Mark IV was IV-001. It gets more confusing though because some products appear to have the same prefix. For example the first Strategy 400 was S-001 and the first Strategy 295 was also S-001.
So what I'm trying to figure out is about their cabinets. I haven't found any info on this. If different cabinet models serial numbers start with C, are those part of the same sequence or different sequences? Like if a Recto 2x12 has serial C-12345 and a Recto 4x12 has serial C-12346, are these part of the same sequence and thus made at the same time or are these two completely different sequences?
Thanks
