Microsoft update destroyed my laptop

But after 20 hrs of trying to restore,uninstall, reformat, install new hd (ssd), install all software (pro tools, toontrack......). She's as good as new!


I spent like three days straight locked to my chair trying to uninstall this update my microsoft downloaded without my permission! I'm laughing about it now but I sure wasn't at the time lol! I know I"m not the only one who has gone through this. Feels good to be back!

Much as I hate to, I must defend Microsoft here... I've had bum updates in MacOS, and Linux before.

And in all 3 OS, while it might be the default to install updates automatically, they can be turned off.
